ABOUT E YARD
Santa Rosa, California's Cory Thrall began his solo noise music life in 2003 under a different name - starting as apt213 (read as: "ay-pee-tee-two-one-three"). rather quickly after starting and for a number of different reasons (including the fact that there is a band called Apartment 213 that everyone, of course, writes out as 'Apt.213'.....) he changed the name to E Yard in 2004. over the years since then, E Yard's sound has shifted and grown into a mix of blasting screeches of noise, vocal spasms and/or singing-ish sounds, multi-instrumental meanderings, and other elements of the musical world. since E Yard is a fan of so many different genres and styles of music you never know what's going to go down with the music, but hopefully that's the fun part! there have also been a good number of releases here and there, including split releases with such awesome acts as the Cherry Point, Nkondi, Operation (now AKA "Floor"), and Moda Emo. he has released 4 full-length albums - the newest being the album "ACID FALLS", which was released on Pro CDr by Santa Rosan record label Serpent Movement Recordings to a run of 100 copies - by far the largest run of any E Yard release before this. he begun to finally play live in 2008, with a set at a recent Sacramento Audio Waffle, and he has also recently done a live VS. set with the awesome Cerebral Roil. there shall be many more things to come, in all areas of the E Yard world...........
